Went recently during lunch hour and they have a great lunch menu with good pricing. You are still allowed to order from the dinner menu. Food was delicious and service was fast and friendly.

Don't bother getting take out!! Was like eating bark off a bone the 3 times i took a chance of ordering to go. Usually third time is a charm...more like, 3 strikes and I'm out!! Rib hut for now on!!

My husband and I moved from Central Texas, where BBQ is an art form, to El Paso last July. We've been to many of the big places out here, only to be severely disappointed. Today we tried State Line, and felt like the BBQ gods were smiling down on us. Not it did their BBQ baked potato make Famous Dave's look like a shameful, pathetic knock-off, our server, Manny, was an absolute delight. And they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. So much so, that when someone overheard me tell my husband I thought it was just a tad too salty, they replaced my whole plate! And I wasn't complaining! I was happily eating it, lol. We have found our BBQ home away from home!

Delicious restaurant. The drinks were delicious the food was amazing and the service was great. This restaurant looks and is so very nice. Love going there, put a smile on our faces.

State line is always a great place... For ribs :-)I wasn't hungry this past go round, so I got a cheeseburger instead. My wife odrered the hamburger. Kind of a disappointment. The burgers themselves were decent-sized, but the presentation was boring tasting. Your burgers are not a winner, State Line. Disappointing, but we'll forgive you this one time, as each previous time the last 20-30 years have been fantastic.You probably do not have many orders for a burger/cheeseburger.

I give this place five starts because of the service and the large portions of food! It was my mother’s birthday and I believe our server overheard us talking about it. We ordered desert and when it came out our server brought an additional plate that read happy birthday with caramel and a little bowl of ice cream with a candle! It was such a nice gesture and specially since we did stay a little close to closing. The fact that she took the time to do that will definitely make me come eat here again!

Pork ribs, turkey and sausage were delicious. The beef ribs were very tough and you had to gnaw them off the bone. The brisket was extremely tough and dry. It definitely wasn't worth $70 for 2 people when we didn't even have drinks or appetizers.

Such delicious food, great service, and a super cute place! I had the steak which was SO good! 🤤 But my friends had the BBQ and I heard that was amazing as well! Love the unique decor- it reminds me of a restaurant from my childhood. Definitely recommend and I'll be coming back next time I'm in town!

Food is always good. Place needs a face lift, that would be the 5th star. You must come with empty stomach cus it's a lot to take in. The turkey and brisket are my favs. My hun is fan of the ribs. Bread is to die for.

Very disappointed on Sunday 1-26-2020 took my wife to celebrate her birthday. First of all they didn't have baby back ribs , they didn't have the homemade bread. The waitress wasn't attentive to our table. The beef ribs didn't have any meat at all very dry looked like as if it was the left overs. I complained to the manager and like as if he didn't care. This was around 7 pm and we were a party of 12. Very skimpy portions too. Its overpriced for the portions they give you. Also the food took too long to be served.

First time there. Very crowded on Sunday evening. Can tell this is a big crowd/family place. Took forever to seat and I understand but they told me 20 min and it was 1 hour and then another hour to get our meals. They seam very popular so I suggest go off peak or make a reservation. The BB-q sauce is very good meat quality was exceptional. I had beef rack ribs (they are pretty big). Honestly I believe this place has been thriving for years at this location but been around Texas to long to know there are just as good B-Q places around with better prices and accommodations. I say that cuz I watched a large group wait since i got there (maybe 15min before I left) be seated.

My last date with my husband before his deployment and amazing food that never changes. Thanks for a precious memory in a lovely place.

Food was a bit dry. Our order came out within 5 to 7 minutes of our order. Made me feel that items were not made to order at all. Just cooked up hour earlier and left to sit and dry out. Hopefully I am wrong. Might give it another try in the future.

My first time visit was just after lunch where I had the BBQ Combo Plate. The staff was super friendly and the service was prompt and professional. The interior of the restaurant has a nice rustic feel to it. The food was served with generous portions and had a home style flair. This is no Big Box chain. This is a great place to stop and eat a hearty meal if you are driving through El Paso. A few minutes from the I-10 and next to the Sunland Casino. Family friendly and plenty of room to sit and enjoy some good BBQ. Highly recommended!

The food was really good! Had the three meat combo and subbed a side for the grilled veggies. Yum!! The marbled brisket and sausage were my favorite part. Tyler was awesome and funny, great service!

Great BBQ in a great setting! Place is literally on the TX/NM state line. Brisket,sausage is delicious, potato salad is great and don't forget the mac n cheese. The side door liquor store is a must stop too!!

Food was great and came out ready fast. Our waiter was very attentive as well.

It was my friend's first time and it was even better than I had promised! Maddy is the best server ever!! Can't wait to go back!!!

I Love It ALL. Especially the Delicious Marbled Brisket, absolutely Tender, Juicy and Finger licking Good.

Got there about 6 pm. Order to go, food look great, veggie kabobs, grilled excellent, mushrooms tasty, but a little bit salty. Beef ribs, great, wheat bread has a sweetness to it, which was good.

Probably the best sit down barbecue place in El Paso. Make sure to get the bread, it's the best thing on the menu.

Had the 2 meat plate, pulled pork/turkey. The turkey was very tender, the pulled pork was not too fatty. 2 sauces served with the meal, pork beans, potato salad, and coleslaw. The beans I didn't care for, very dry. Very good otherwise, had the peach cobbler. Very flaky crust and very good. Atmosphere was nice but can get noisy. Waitress was very friendly and informative. Stop by when you are in town.

Portions were small for the money. The food quality wasn't great either. Then, the person bringing out the food changed the tip amount on the machine and thought I was actually going to be ok with that.

I have been here several times over the years and the food was always delicious. Tonight however was terrible. They don’t have baby back ribs anymore. I had the 3 meat combo. The sausage was okay but the ribs had too much cartilage in the meat. The brisket was rubbery and the pulled pork was dry. The service was good. But the food not so good. The bread was terrible. I won’t be back. My dad was with us and he’s been eating at the state line for years. He said he won’t be back either. He only ate three of the full rack of St. Louis ribs. And didn’t want to take them home. What a shame.

Terrible food. Ordered a steak, usually steaks have flavor and are a big juicy and actually good. This steak was so dry the only flavor it had was the spit from my tongue. The outside was burnt to a crisp so each bite was extremely crunchy. So sad to see this restaurant go from good food to a restaurant that now no longer has fries or many side options with very bland meat. It's over priced for such a small steak it came out no bigger than.my palm for $25 dollars. That's alot of money for a really disgusting meal. DON'T EAT HERE!!

Lexi was an amazing waitress! She attended us constantly and made our experience one to remember!

The food was delicious. Tender meats- brisket, chicken, ribs, sausage. Rustic, homey atmosphere. The price is right for the amount of food you get. Pay the extra and try the homemade bread. The only bad seed of today's experience was our glum server. She was not friendly or attentive. Had it been other wise, the experience would have earned a 5, however we'd return again!

A staple restaurant in the El Paso-Sundland Park area. Great for groups. Meats are well seasoned and tasty. Big portions, with great sides. If you have a sweet tooth grab a peach cobbler a la mode. Regularly host events. Servers are attentive and courteous.

Food was good, drinks for mediocre and nothing to write home about. I come for the delicious brisket.

Fantastic place to eat. I went and had large amounts of delicious food with my friends. The service was excellent as well and we were checked in on a good number of times, just enough but not too much. I will be coming back.

Fantastic brisket. Beautiful smoke ring, still juicy and tender. Middle cut was trimmed nicely. The sides were perfect to the last detail. Homemade bread is soft and fresh. Next time I’ll come on Wednesday for the live music!

Excellent bar and grill! A must visit! One of the oldest cafés in all El Paso! Good food, good beer, good times!

Some of the best brisket around. I’ve tried brisket in North Carolina and KC, but this is outstanding. Trying to find a way to get back soon !

I was originally going to come here and post about terrible service my family and I initially received. However, I decided to call the restaurant and give them a chance to address the issue (most people do not give businesses this opportunity) and I was extremely surprised and satisfied with their response. Their GM, Kevin Maguire was amazing with his professional and thoughtful response. He quickly addressed the issue and looked for a solution to retain customer satisfaction. This restaurant absolutely goes out of their way to please their customers . I highly recommend their brisket, turkey, sausage and bread. My family and I look forward to eating there more often.

I've always heard about this place and I finally decided to try it today. I can say the food was good and it had a nice atmosphere. However, the service was horrible. My group of four arrived and we were the only customers. There were errors in our orders and we sent them back. It was fixed, but then our server started just taking the plates from our table without asking, we had to tell her no. She was trying to rush us out (30 min. in) when there was only one other small group in the restaurant. I asked for a box, she brought it, and she stood there and tried to take the plate away while I was STILL putting my food in the to-go-box. I found that so disrespectful, and a mistake servers should not make. I don't think I'd ever go there again.

Love the food well worth the price eat like a king. The customer service is great.

Beautiful setting, great staff and delicious food. State Li e never disappoints. My visiting friends love it as well. I do have to make it to the live music evenings I hear they are great. I reccomend it and I'm sure you will love it.

The service and atmosphere were top notch. easily 5/5. The food left a little more to be desired. I think we just caught them on an off day. It wouldn't stop me from trying again in the future.

State line service is always great! This is definitely my favorite place for BBQ or steaks in the west side of El Paso. The beef ribs are excellent as is their homemade bread!

Have you ever visited a restaurant, looked at the menu, and realized you might not be able to eat there because of your dietary lifestyle? Well that was how my visit here started. Everything here, except the meat, looked like it had a bunch of carbs and I've been doing Keto for over a year. Who would win the battle between staying on the diet, leaving, or giving in to the sweet taste of carb-town (pun intended)? Well, thanks to our amazing server we were able to swap out the carb rich options for something much more figure friendly. All the time while being expedient and nice. We ordered the ribeye steak with grilled vegetables and coleslaw and it was great. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. Overall we had a great experience here.

Food is really good. Pretty authentic food. Upscale place. Music is not that good at times, but great place to go an talk. Waiters do not seem that nice and friendly, but maybe that's how it goes with upscale places.

We live in Ontario California, visiting family and we meet here & we love it here the food is amazing.
